To wear a T-Shirt saying (in one way or another):
"I recognise the One Heart that beats in us all - whatever our beliefs"
is a beautiful and brave declaration.

But then what?
The story we are making reality ends like this:

"As the T-Shirt Revolution swirled through Middle Eastern Minds like a sandstorm, T-Shirt Donners´ Clubs appeared everywhere - like new dunes. Jewish and Muslim Mothers for Peace organised all sorts of Motherly Events - like Breast Feeding Competitions, which were judged according to the volume of their babies´ contented gurgling. Two top Football Teams, one Jewish, one Muslim, all having Donned The T-Shirt, shocked the whole Middle East by Playing for Fun. And there were T-Shirt Nightclubs where everyone left their Identity at the Door, and degraded themselves together so generously, and so impartially, they could hardly remember having ever not-been-part-of the One Human Family.

 

And so it was that, once upon a time, in the near future, little by little, moment of courage by moment of courage, T-Shirt by T-Shirt, moment of heart-to-heart connection by moment of heart-to-heart connection, T-Shirt Club by T-Shirt Club, that the Middle East was Overcome by The Obvious - and returned from the Distress of Forgetfulness and Division, to the relief and peace and happiness of All, once again, Belonging to the One Human Family..."

 

So yes - we recommend the next step after printing and wearing your T-Shirt be
to form or join a "One Heart" T-Shirt Club.
Why?

1. For fun!
2. To unite to act to nurture "love beyond belief" in the world.
3. To educate ourselves emotionally - so that we can "be the change we want to see in the world".

Why do we need to educate ourselves emotionally?
To learn to live as "centred" human beings, or "heart-centred" human beings -
who can´t be manipulated into opposition and conflict.

NOBODY is born with belief in a religion, or with political ideals - 

or even with a belief in their nationality or race.  
(Nationality is not just geographical, or race just biological - 
they are inherited, collective stories - that we come to identify with.)
NOBODY is born with beliefs -

but we are ALL born with a heart

that longs to love and be-loved!

Yes, we lose touch with that One Heart -
and yes, we do terrible things in the name of our beliefs.  
And yes, the pain and suffering is real.
The anguish and frustration and desperation is real. 
The fear and hatred is real. 
And the guilt and shame is real. 
We can´t pretend it´s not all there. 
But we are MORE than our suffering!
Every one of us
was born as,
and still is - 
a unique expression of The One Heart that beats in us all.

Do we live, day to day, 
seeing ourselves in this way?
Mostly - no!
So let´s form "One Heart" T-Shirt Clubs and  

1. have fun, and
2. unite to act, and

3. educate ourselves emotionally!
